Portraits

The portraits gallery primarily shows Melanie’s work as a portrait artist including both personal and commission works.

Melanie's artwork is expressive, demonstrating a huge range of emotional complexity. Every piece of art she creates expresses an inner dynamic brought forth with feeling and intensity using color and contrast as the channel for manifestation on the canvas.

On this site you will find a several galleries representing the different media which Melanie works with. Illustration contains her illustrative work and sketches as well as preliminary studies for more complex pieces. Mixed displays mixed media works as well as sculpture and collage. The painting gallery represents Melanie's acrylic and oil paintings. She has had a number of shows in Austin and is looking to expand her representation further afield.
